Wuhan Institute of Shipbuilding Technology owns advanced scientific and technological resources. It mainly includes some comprehensive training centre such as library, campus network, shipbuilding centre and modern production center.

1.Graphic and Textual Information Centre
The library is a member of national CALIS centre and the sub-deputy chairman unit of Library Association of Hubei Higher Vocational Institutes. In 2002, it smoothly passed the automation assessment of college libraries in Hubei province. The library has a construction area of 18000 square meters with a holding of 900000 volumes. It provides whole-day service to students, using ILAS administration system and equipped with Vip, Sursen and Superstar electronic database. There are also electronic reading rooms with 300 computers and multi-function audio and video rooms, which can simultaneously accommodate 2000 people.

2.Campus-net Centre
The Campus-net centre is specially supported by the Ministry of Finance. It is the information, data and distance education centre of the institute. it has an advanced server of "IBMBladeCenter", a double-core S6806E of 10G speed, and a 1G three-level switch which can make the speed of each terminal reach 100M and the whole network reach 10G. The centre is also equipped with a HP enterprise-level EVA 3000 storage of virtual array system, a 15T fiber optical disk, and 2000 terminals.

3.Journal of Wuhan Institute of Shipbuilding Technology.
As an excellent journal among national higher vocational institutes, Journal is characterized by its higher vocational research and navigation project. It is an important member of Hubei College Journal Research Committee and the higher vocational committee of Hubei Journal Institute, and the journal of Hubei Shipbuilding Industry Association. The Chinese edition of Journal can be found in Chinese Journal Whole Passage Database, China Core Journal Database, China Journal Network, China Academic Journal(disk edition),and it is also included in Chinese Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database.

4.Shipbuilding Center: new technology training center of shipbuilding industry in Hubei province
Shipbuilding Center is the comprehensive teaching research center in the institute for nine shipbuilding specialties, such as shipbuilding and oceanographic engineering. It includes training centers of the hull structure, the shipbuilding craft, the shipping power, the ship's engine room and so on.

5.Modern Manufacturing Center: State-level training base for urgently-needed talents.
Modern Manufacturing Center is the national skill training center for urgently-needed talent. It's equipped with advanced technological modern processing center and over 40 sets of modern numerical control processing equipment such as the numerically controlled fraise machine, the linearity cuts and so on. All the equipment values millions of yuan.

6.Industry Center: the technical promoting center of small and medium-sized enterprises in Hubei province
Industry Center includes the mechanical engineering training center, the electrical engineering and automation training center and the computer technology center. Industry center not only provides vocational skill training on mechanical manufacture, electronic assembly, and electrical control, but also provides professional qualifications appraisal.

7.Business Center: business management training center
Business Center is the comprehensive training center of business management. It provides training on business etiquette, business conference management, exhibition arrangement, accounting computerization, electronic business and hotel management.
